The future of gaming has many potentials. One idea I have is based of off Television. Netflix and Hulu and other streams are much cheaper than cable and have all the shows cable has to offer. However, people haven;t thrown out cable yet because it has live sports. But this can be changed. If new gaming console are able to watch live sports through WiFi, and since consoles already have Netflix and Hulu, this could totally destroy cable and get rid of TV. TV screens would just be used to play gaming consoles on. Another idea is for the handhelds. What if handhelds could be like phones? For example, if we could take something like the 3ds and turn it to both a touch screen and stylus screen and make the second screen slide down like a phone keypad, then it would be like a phone. If it is given the ability to call, text and have access to apps, the it could throw out the phone. Now you can call or text friends and play apps and games online. It could be taken a step further and be like the PS Vita and connect to your home console. Now an upgrade to the console would be to get rid of discs entirely and switch to downloading games(remember, on a Xbox One you can log onto your profile on your friends Xbox One) Your new mobile device could connect to your home console and play your downloaded games on the go. Those are my ideas for now. -May 5, 2014
